Originally a science teacher Barry Patterson is a professional musician & storyteller often working at public events. His first poetry collection, Nature Mystic was published by Heaventree Press in 2008. In 2011 he was named an Honorary Bard of the Order of Bards Ovates & Druids. His poem Advice to a Geordie Miner Lad at Pooley was installed as part of the Polesworth Poets’ trail at the old pit head in Pooley Country Park, Warwickshire in 2012. He currently lives in Coventry.
